Domestic away fixtures will move from three categories (A, B and C) to two categories (A and B).

From season 2026/27, categories will be based on allocation size, rather than the historic profile of the fixture:

  • Category A: total club allocation below 2,500 tickets. Based on current expected allocations, this is likely to include Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Falkirk, and St Mirren.
  • Category B: total club allocation of 2,500 tickets or more. Based on current expected allocations, this is likely to include Dundee, Dundee United, Hibs, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, and St Johnstone.

Allocations can vary during the season. This means a fixture may be classed as Category A on one occasion and Category B the next time the clubs meet, depending on the final allocation received.
